Senior Pastor Benny Hurtado

Benny Hurtado is Pastor of Living Word Community church. He is also the Director of the Counseling Ministry as well as Pastor to youth and children. His desire is to lead youth and children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through relevant, fun and thought-provoking interactions. As Director of the Counseling Ministry, Benny believes people can be equipped to live successfully according to scriptural principles. Benny has a Bachelor's Degree from Nyack College and is a graduate of the New York Center for Christian Studies. He is a Licensed Pastoral Counselor. Benny is a single-parent, has 3 children, Sir, Jade and Asher, and a lovely Daughter-In-Law Susie and grand-daughter, Allie-Jade. Associate Pastor Florita King

Pastor Flo was ordained in 2005 as Associate Pastor at Living Word Community Church. A member of LWCC since 1992, she is a graduate of Brooklyn College and the New York Center for Christian Studies. She is an avid believer in Christian education and people fulfilling their ministry goals. Currently Pastor Flo oversees administration and finance, teaches in the Adult Sunday School, facillitates many of the ministries of the church and also coordinates many of its' outreaches. Pastor Flo teaches and speaks monthly in the Sunday Service and partners in providing leadership oversight and assistance to Pastor Benny. Pastor Flo loves old black/white movies, enjoys listening to smooth jazz and jammin' gospel. She loves southern, spanish and carribean cooking. Her favorite scripture is Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
